Memorial Day Lake Trip

I just love the lake. I especially love going to the Mannion's lake house. I've been missing out on lake excitement with friends the past couple of years and it felt so good to relax after a few stressful weeks. It was just William and I this trip, Chris had to work. Melissa, Nathan and their two kids spent the weekend and the kids had a blast playing together. It started off a bit rocky with Cole getting a busted lip. But after that little hick up it was smooth sailing. The boys went fishing and caught a few winners. William joined in on the fishing with his new Spider man fishing pole. He had an awesome time, maybe next time we'll actually put a hook on the end!! William also went jet skiing with me for the first time. He LOVED it!! I started off slow and expected to only stay out for about 10 minutes or so. After getting him adjusted all he wanted was to get splashed by Aunt Deidra and for me to go faster. He is so fearless, I was going so fast he even compared me to Lightning McQueen...ahh what an honor! A 10 minute trip turned out to be a 30 minute trip. I had an absolute blast with William this weekend, he's such an awesome little boy, I love him so much!

This is how he felt about the weekend!

Poor Cole and his busted lip.

The cutest kids ever!

If only that was a real fish.

Cutie Pie

He just had to touch that fish...William was so excited!

I just couldn't resist. What a typical boy!!

I wonder if there was a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow!

Austin to Houston, Houston to Austin...

I have a feeling this is going to be a long post....

I have finally come up for air. For the past 2 weeks I have been traveling from Austin to Houston and back a few times. I even had time to squeeze in a some crawfish with friends and some much needed lake time! So much has been going on the past 2 weeks. In all honesty, this happened so fast. One minute Chris is getting things ready in our Katy house and the next we are renting a Uhaul and moving our things. We still have a few things left at our apartment in Austin, but the majority is in Katy now. It just so happens that June is the preferred moving month for the Ladimir's. My brother Christian is moving and my other brother Robert is inheriting a few of his belongings. So we killed 2 birds with one stone and shared a Uhaul from Austin to Houston, another reason this happened so fast.

Unfortunately William was unable to finish out the soccer season, but it was fun while it lasted. He also had his last day at school on Tuesday. It was a tearful good-bye. William has been going there for 2 years and everyone was so AWESOME, it was hard to see William leave. I know how much he loved going and playing with all his friends...so many good memories!

The cutest class!

The big squeeze!

Cute kids...

The sweetest little girl in the world,
and technically William's first "girlfriend".

Happy Mother's Day, Moving and everything else

What a busy couple of weeks it has been.

Yesterday was a wonderful Mother's Day. William was absolutely adorable the whole day...it could be that he wasn't feeling that well. He's always so cuddly when he's under the weather. We went to church and then went to my mom's for lunch and then my brothers took control of the TV and we flipped back and forth between golf and the Rocket's game. Then Christian and Robert took a stroll through memory lane and tortured us with their high school basketball videos...sigh. Overall it was a very relaxing day!

That night Chris came home and I was so excited to see him. He's been in Houston for almost a week and we just hate being away from each other...not to mention he missed William so much. The feeling was mutual, William has been walking around the house asking for his Daddy 24/7. At night he has to sleep with a picture of his Daddy right next to him...talk about melting my heart. He's even come into my room in the middle of the night to get in the bed with me and he would be holding his stuffed animals and picture of his Daddy...so cute.

This Wednesday we are going to Houston for almost a week to get things unpacked and organize. Our furniture is still in Austin and I think in about 2 or 3 weeks we will be moved in completely. I'm so excited. Chris and his mom Becky worked so hard to paint the house and get it ready for move in and my mom and I have been shopping for fixtures and all the other goodies we need to replace. I have a few bedrooms to finish up and Chris has some faucets and fixtures to replace and that should do it in terms of repairs. Thank God I married a handy man...there isn't a single thing Chris can't fix or figure out!

William's First Soccer Game

Between rainy days, going out of town, and being sick William finally had his first soccer game this past Saturday. We had a blast!! The kids were awesome and having so much fun. It took William a few minutes to warm up. At first all he did was stand in the middle of the field watching everyone else play but he finally snapped out of it! He was dribbling so well and even had a break away and goal! Thankfully the YMCA doesn't keep score because the other team was killing us. I think they scored 15 goals or close to. We had only about 4, and 6 if you include the 2 we scored in their goal! It was hilarious, William did his very best and most importantly had fun...what more could a I ask for!

He's ready to go!

Notice the intensity...

I just can't get enough of his eyebrows!

Hello cuteness!

Look at him go...

Taking a break to act like frogs!

Swine Flu

I think that since one day William will see this blog I should post something about every one's (including mine) current health fear...Swine Flu. A school not too far away from our home was closed down until May 11 for the Swine Flu scare. So my paranoia fear has just been elevated to a 10. The constant rain we have been having isn't helping and for obvious reasons my child is getting restless and I'm running out of things to do at home. So today I braved the outdoors and took William to a park. I never thought I would say this, but no one was there and I couldn't have be happier.

The only bubble maker I found that seems to work.

William has been battling this cough for a week now and after an embarrassing soccer practice of William coughing on everyone I didn't want to risk the embarrassment again. I could just feel the parents freaking out about Swine Flu. Naturally I would not allow my child to spread his germs but in my defense, he was perfect all day long and I think it was more of a show than anything else. He has been asking to go to his favorite jump house but I am freaked out that it could be a breeding ground for germs and Swine Flu. I wish there was a place I could get a custom bubble made for William so I can sleep well at night. Until then I have the hand sanitizer near by at all times!
