Brownies and Black Eyes

So the other day William and I decided to make brownies...he was a mess. I think that makes the whole process that much funner!! He also had a disagreement with the nightstand. It was a tough fight, fortunately the nightstand lost but left William with a minor shiner. It's not as bad as Anna's as he puts it, but I had to explain myself to the school because William is quite the story teller. I didn't want CPS jumping out from behind the bushes.

The starting stages of his shiner, under his left eye.

What a face!

Chuga Chuga Poo Poo

OK, so this week William is all over the place. His vocabulary and personality is at an all time high. It seems like overnight, but he's actually holding conversations with me, and they are funny. This kid has one crazy imagination and his reactions to some things crack me up.

We have also been riding the Potty Train this whole week. We had a few hick-ups but I have not put him in pull-ups all week except for his nap and bed times....YAY!!! It feels great, but I do realize you have to have patience and speed during this transition time. When he says he's got to go, I'm off running, and when nothing comes out, I exercise my patience. We were kind of off to a rocky start this week, but it was with a ton of humor. For example, on Monday we had a massive explosion in his big boy underwear. No big deal but it was everywhere. So I carried him upstairs and put him in the tub, I told him to hold on for one second I wanted to put him in a trash bag. After I thought about what I said, his reaction made since, he said, "no Mommy, I be so scared." Apparently he thought I was going to throw him away, I wanted to throw his underwear away. So funny. Then this morning he was in good spirits for our morning potty break, he went to the toilet and said, "Lets Rock and Roll"...that seriously started my day on an awesome note. What a funny little kid.

Thirty Something...

Well I'm finally getting with the program after a weekend of crazy celebrations. I had a blast, it was the best birthday weekend EVER!! Deidra, Brian, Tracy, Mel and Nathan all joined in the celebration. We kicked Friday off with drinks at Brynton and Hilary's. That night got blurry around 8:30 (so sad) from what I can remember, I attempted some wobbly bike riding, won at a game of bags (I don't know how that happened), and danced like it was no body's business...so funny!! Saturday started a bit rough, but after dropping William and Roxy with Nanny and Papa, we began celebration #2. We had lunch at the Iron Cactus, took some cat naps at the hotel and then painted the town red!! Like I said, it was the best birthday weekend ever! I'll post pictures once I get them from Tracy and Mel. Thanks to all my wonderful friends for the cards and birthday wishes, y'all are the best!

Scary....I know

One of many self portraits...this always seems to happen.

Weekends Part 2

This past weekend we drove up to Dallas. It was a long weekend with Monday as a holiday so we took advantage to spend some time with Chris' parents. It was packed with tons of things to do, and William had a great time playing with his Nana and Yaya...we all had a blast!
We went to the park on Saturday and fed the ducks and seagulls. It was a feeding frenzy, they were everywhere. William got pooped on, it was hilarious. Then we played at the park and William went crazy, this park is so huge it's are favorite one to go to in Dallas.

I love this picture. William was booking it and I actually caught up with him, I love this little guy so much!

Nana and William having a moment.

The family!

My twins!

On Sunday we went to this exotic zoo that has mostly abandoned tigers and lions. It's so awesome and very up-close. The animals are no more then 3 feet away from you behind double fences. The tigers had a slight issue with Chris...one tried to spray Chris and earlier another one wanted to attack the fence. Needless to say, it was very National Geographic, thank goodness for the fences!

William and Nana enjoyed petting this old horse nearby.

So cute!

Weekends

We've been lucky to have 2 fun filled weekends! Earlier this month we went to Houston for C's 1st birthday and to spend the weekend with Aunt Deidra, Tracy and Uncle Brian. William had a blast and by Sunday was wiped out! It was a good break for Chris and I too, we have been moving and unpacking boxes for what seems like forever, we just needed to get away.

Uncle Brian taking William for a spin on the gator!

Air-William...he cracks me up!

Well apparently William thought Roxy was going to fall in so he decided to help her out...so funny!

C's 1st Birthday was awesome, there were so many fun activities to keep the kids acting like busy little bees!

My little artist!

A rare occasion, William's hands are dirty!

She was so darn cute, she didn't like the kids playing in her new sandbox.

The birthday boy...if you look to the bottom right of the picture you'll notice William taking a swipe of the cake. C's face was priceless. What can I say, he goes for what he wants...

and enjoys every bit of it!

Love those eyes!

The feeding frenzy!

Here's William just relaxing with his bucket full of candy getting all sugared up!!

Like father like son

It was another beautiful day in Austin yesterday. Chris and I finished unpacking and decided to clean the garage before the big Super Bowl game. William had fun playing with his Little Tikes car and decided to take after his Daddy and detail his ride. I couldn't resist setting him up with his own bucket and sponge along with a ton of bubbles that never seemed enough. William took his time and didn't miss a single spot...reminds me of Chris! Lucky me, I have 2 perfectionist living under the same roof.
