Birthday Weekend

The day finally arrived, William turned 4 and had the best birthday party!! Our weekend started at the Mannion's for some pre-party prep. We decorated the pool area and got ready for the festivities! The theme was Transformers and we tried our hardest to dazzle William with as many decorations as possible. Saturday rolled around and it was a complete success! I was a little apprehensive about having a pool party with so many kids, but everyone had a blast and thankfully the party ended without any incidents or injuries. William is such a blessed child, thank you to all of our family and friends that traveled near and far to make his 4th birthday spectacular and a special thanks to the Mannion's for letting us use their home. I would definitely say William had a fantastic birthday, I can't believe my baby boy is 4. I'm looking forward to a wonderful year!!

4 Years Old

I just can't believe William is going to be 4 already. His birthday is this Saturday and I keep asking Chris, where did the time go? He's grown up so fast; I can hardly keep up with him. In a day I am asked 100 questions and taught 1000 lessons and it will never get old. Never in a million years did I think I would be able to love someone this much. William is a blessing and true gift from God. Everyday he is responsible for bringing laughter into our lives and love in our hearts. William makes it so easy to be a mom, my job is near effortless, he's that perfect to me!

I have really jumped into my photography and had the most amazing time capturing these moments...goodness he's so handsome!!

42 Years

So William has been missing his Papa and since he's back we planned a trip to visit my parents in Austin. During our visit we all celebrated their 42 Anniversary! Not too many people can say they have been married for 42 years. My parents have been through a lot and to celebrate number 42 is just awesome!!! I'm so proud of them and truly blessed to be their daughter!

Like a Fish

William is swimming like a fish!!! It has happened after a Summer of constant practicing! I am so proud of him!! We still have a long way to go before he begins challenging Michael Phelps, but I'm very happy with the progress we've made so far. A few weeks ago he was swimming, then would stop to tread water and really not go far. But today, he was taking breaths and putting his head back in the water and paddled and kicked like a champ! What a relief to know that if he did jump in the pool he would know what to do and not panic. He is fearless, jumping off the edge of the pool and diving board. Yet another milestone...next we are working on tying our shoes!!!
