I thought I was completely behind on my posts but apparently I haven't been that bad. At the end of March we took William to his first Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. We started off the day transforming William into Batman. Literally, he was called Batman all day and acted like the cape crusader, it was so funny! William enjoyed the petting zoo and played with a pigs tail and Chris made friends with a llama that followed him around the whole time. William also loved the bull riding and chuck wagon races, he was really good at picking the winner. But I would have to say, he had the best time at the carnival. Chris spent almost all our money trying to win this stuffed black spider man, when finally I just said can you ask the guy if we can buy it from him. Chris already tried and the man said no, so unfortunately we left empty handed. (All I could think about was the scene in Joe Dirt where he was spraying Pam on the game so no one would win...it felt impossible). But as a consolation prize, William rode his first real ride, some spinning seat thing that nearly gave me a heart attack. No lie all I could imagine was William falling out of that seat. Chris was supervising, but he was wedged in the seat behind him there wasn't much he could do. So I just held my breath and watched my boys have a good ole time. We also did the ferris wheel and William got an awesome view of the entire carnival. I would have to say it was the perfect day for William's first Rodeo experience, I can't wait for next year!!
Becoming Batman was one of the high lights of the day!
A rare shot, the whole family in a picture...thanks Mr. Cowboy for taking this picture!
