It's been a while...

I just noticed how long it's been since I last blogged, there has been a lot going on! William started school, and recently soccer. I have had a few inquiries and sessions with my new photography business, Chris is coaching soccer, I'm team mom, and to top it off, Chris has been working hard and attending school. (....sigh....)

Our most recent news is William has been visited by the "Tube Fairy" (will explain later, kind of long story) and has purchased his Halloween costume and doesn't want to take it off....yes, he wanted to be a Super-Hero so he is the "Black Spider man"....with built in muscles!! That cracks me up all by itself!

I couldn't be happier, our lives are busy but we are all together sharing this madness! I have a lot to be thankful for...God is Great!

I have every intention of posting pictures....it's on my list of things to do!!

In the mean time, check out my photography blog!

Late for School

This morning I had a rocky start. William usually wakes me up around 8:00 or so, well this morning we both slept in. He woke me up at 9:15. School starts at 9:30...I jumped out of bed and told William we are in a really big hurry. I was brushing his teeth and my teeth at the same time. Usually he brushes his own teeth, but that is such a slow process and we were pressed for time. He was getting dresses and all I could hear is, "Mom I don't want to wear this shirt" at this point he could have went to school in his pajamas and I didn't care. Nutra grain bar and OJ for the road and we headed to school. I got there at 9:40. Thankfully there where still other moms dropping off their kids, but they had multiple children to juggle, I had no excuse at all. I just have that feeling that my child is going to be the one that always misses first period in school...gosh I really hope not. The lessen learned...set my alarm just in case!

Preschool...already?

Seriously, how is it that my baby boy is in preschool already? He's not suppose to grow up this fast. Last week was meet the teacher. I was excited for William to get back in school and believe me, he was pumped too. In fact, he couldn't stop talking about his new "church school". It was a fun day, I met both of William's teachers and he got acquainted with his new classroom. I swear, my child has zero hesitation...he dove right in. Playing with all the toys, figuring out the little activities they had and helping himself to the mound of cookies they had for everyone. We stayed and played a bit longer then the rest. I really wanted William feeling comfortable with his new school. For the past 2 years he was going to a FABULOUS school in Austin with the best staff and most adorable kids, I really wanted him to settle in.

Meet the teacher

On the first day of school William, Chris and I were ready to go!! We got his lunch together (complete with Snoopy note) and got our boy dressed for his big day! There was a lot of anxiety the night before I told Chris nearly in tears that, "our child is only going to have his first day of preschool once". Duh...but I remember like yesterday bringing him home from the hospital and now he's in preschool. I don't know where the time has gone, but I couldn't be prouder of my little boy! On the first day he was such a champ, in fact I was ordered to put the camera away and "come on"! Apparently he was eager to go in. Walking in he didn't want to hold hands, he said he can do it all by himself. If that's not the most independent moment, I don't know what is. We dropped him off at his class with no problems! He went right in without any fussing. Picking him up was hilarious, I knew he'd have tons of comments and stories. His first comment was, "mom, I liked my old teachers and old friends". Not exactly what I expected to hear, but after digging through his back pack, we talked about what he did that day and he said he had so much fun! That's all that matters to me!

First Day of School!

Mr. Independent didn't want to hold Daddy's hand.

I'm so proud of my boy!!

Ready to go!!

This was a tradition growing up, my dad would always draw a picture of Snoopy for us to put in either our lunch box or backpack...I couldn't resist carrying on that tradition!

Labor Day Weekend

I just can't believe how fast the summer went by. I'm so happy that I was able to spend it with my friends. We all had a great Summer. William learned how to swim, I worked on my tan and started my photography business, and Chris started his new job then we all moved to Houston. It was a busy Summer to say the least. Definitely one of the more eventful Summers and loaded with awesome memories!! Last weekend we ended the Summer with a bang. We went to the Mannion's lake house to celebrate Labor Day. It was a bit of a rocky start, William was sick the first day and a half and was able to recover fast enough to enjoy the rest of our get-away! I just love the lake; boats, jet ski's, fun and friends, you can't beat that!! Thanks everyone for an awesome Summer, now lets bring on the cooler weather....does that exist in Houston?

William feeling much better.

A little football anyone?

I just thought this was so beautiful....the lake sparkled that day.

Yes, this is my dare devil child jumping off a slow moving jet ski.

This is what summer is about...ahhhh

Long time no blog...

It's been a while since my last post and to be honest I really don't have a good excuse. I've been trying to limit my Internet usage and some how find myself on Facebook. It's such an addicting site. Not much has been going on in the Addison home. Chris started school again. He's attending U of H downtown. he was really aiming to take some Internet courses, but registered a bit late. It's not that bad of a drive, hopefully next semester he can get those classes online. I've started my own photography business. I'm extremely excited and nervous at the same time. I absolutely love taking pictures, I'd figure why not do something that I love. After years of working I finally am doing something that I wake up in the morning excited to do. Chris is so supportive, I love his encouragement. I feel so inspired, I just pray that it works out.
